Visits with
pre-authorized members of the clergy will be allowed at reasonable
times and for a reasonable amount of time not to exceed one hour or
as determined by jail staff.

Visits with attorneys
will be allowed at reasonable times and for reasonable amount of
time not to exceed one hour or as determined by jail staff.

Visual observation may
be maintained during your visits.

The inmate will be
permitted one visit per week after the initial court appearance.

Visitation is allowed
only during the visiting hours of 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturday or
Sunday. Each visit may be up to thirty minutes in length.

Visits are limited to
two visitors at any one time and must be scheduled twenty-four hours
in advance. Appointments are made with the jail staff.
Failure to give proper notice may result in losing visiting
privileges for two weeks.

Permitted visitors
include immediate family members (parent, spouse, sibling,
grandparent or child) and one designated adult non-family member
(designated at time of booking). Visitors under the age of
eighteen must be accompanied by an adult family member who has
visiting privileges. Children under the age of twelve are not
permitted to visit unless prior approval is obtained from the
on-duty jailer.

Contact visits are not
permitted except for the following persons while conducting official
business: law enforcement officers, persons affiliated with law
enforcement, law enforcement chaplains, pre-authorized attorneys,
and persons pre-approved by the sheriff or jail supervisor.

No visits will be
allowed for any/all former inmates of the Rusk County Jail for
ninety days after the former inmate was released from jail.

The jail staff may
deny a visit to any person when, in the jailers opinion, allowing
the visit may present a threat to the safety of those concerned or
have a potential to interfere with the security or orderly operation
of the jail.

Visits may be
suspended or canceled during an emergency.

Requests for
exceptions to visitation must be submitted in writing. Such
requests must provide a detailed explanation as to the need for the
exception and specify dates and times, names, etc.
