LAND CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT INTERN

Rusk County is accepting applications for a limited term Intern to work in our Land Conservation and Development Department during the summer of 2015.

Responsibilities include data collection of priority features within the county such as farms, animal waste storage facilities and road centerlines by utilizing GPS. This position also performs routine and entry level geographic information systems work and assists the Land Conservation Division in project research and design.

Qualifications: This position requires 2 or more years of college in a Natural Resources or GIS field.

Wage is $12.50 per hour.

PARKS/FORESTRY INTERN

Rusk County is accepting applications and resumes for a Part-time Parks/Forestry intern to work in our Forestry Department.

Responsibilities include: Assist in the general maintenance of the County’s parks, campgrounds and trails. Assist in the Administration of the County’s campgrounds.

Qualifications: There are no educational requirements for this position. However, preference for hire will be for those pursuing a college degree in Forestry or other related Natural Resources degree programs.

Starting wage is $ 12.50/hour.

SOCIAL WORKER - DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES

Rusk County is accepting applications and resumes for a full time social worker. The social worker position will be assigned to the Children & Family Services Unit.

Responsibilities of this position include providing juvenile justice and child protection related services.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related human service field and licensure or eligibility for licensure as a social worker through the Wisconsin Bureau on Licensing and Regulation. It is expected that licensure will be obtained within two years.

Starting salary is $22.62 per hour with excellent fringe benefits.
