The mission of the Rusk County Sheriff's Department is to provide timely, courteous and professional service to all people, businesses and agencies who request assistance from any member of the Rusk County Sheriff's Department.

The purpose of the Rusk County Sheriff's Department is to provide professional law enforcement, criminal investigation, search and rescue, civil process, records, dispatch and corrections (jail) service to people who need and/or request assistance.

Prepared and Trained to Respond

In joining the Rusk County Sheriff's Department, deputies make its responsibilities their own. All department employees are expected to carry out these responsibilities diligently and courteously and take pride in the service they provide.
